28 Sep Lexington AARP Chapter Donates Sitting Bench To Lexington Fisher House
AARP Chapter 345 in Lexington donated a sitting bench to the Lexington Fisher House during a ceremony on September 27, 2023. Under the leadership of President Carol Grange, the chapter was an early supporter of the Lexington Fisher House project, raising money to help build the $9 million house. Chapter members also collected bottle caps for recycling to raise money to purchase the sitting bench. There is an engraved plaque on the bench that includes the chapter name and date of the ribbon-cutting for the Lexington Fisher House. The bench is situated on the back patio, overlooking beautiful green space. The chapter plans ongoing support of the house, including preparing meals for the guests. Our sincere thanks to President Grange and all the AARP Chapter 345 members for their support of our active-duty military, veterans and their families at the Lexington Fisher House.
